The USB scope is a simple and easy endoscope system that works with your Windows computer, laptop, tablet or Android tablet or cell phone. All you need is the 2 pound (1KG) scope and a Windows or Android device. The scope connects to the device via the USB port which supplies the power for the Sensor and LED lights. There is no processor, light processor or bulky equipment needed!
If you do not need to automatic air or water, all you need is the scope and a Windows computer, laptop, tablet or Android phone.
The endoscope incorporates a 400 x 400 resolution sensor which gives sharp, high resolution images and video.
The Tele-View USB scopes use super bright LED lights that give excellent illumination of the target tissue. Depending on the scope model, the LED’s will emit between 3,000 and 5,000 LUX which gives plenty of light, even in dark stomachs.
If you need to pump air or water, you could do this manually through the working channel with a hand pump or syringe (AMC has hand pumps available for sale). If you want automatic air-water, then you will need the optional TV-801 air-water pump to go with the scope. The TV-801 is a simple proprietary air-water pump that can be purchased as an option. Once connected to the scope, the air-water pump will allow for air or water to be dispensed from the tip of the endoscope, as needed.
Yes, depending on the diameter of the scope, they either have a 2.0mm or 2.9mm working channel.
There is a syringe connector attached to the Control Body that allows you to clean the lens with a syringe during the procedure.
The Tele-View USB scopes will work with a Mac that runs Parallels. Parallels software allows the user to install Windows and the Tele-View Video Capture Software on to the Mac (Parallels software which costs about $79.00). There is no application to use the USB scopes on an iPad or iPhone, however, there is an application for Android use.
Yes, and more! Each Tele-View Endoscope has a camera sensor, LED lights, an irrigation channel to clean the lens, an air-water channel for lavage or insufflation and a working channel for foreign body removal. Most old technology endoscopes only have two channels and the biopsy channel has to be shared between irrigation and working. The third channel in the Tele-View Endoscopes allows for a separate air-water channel from the biopsy channel. The scopes will record images and video to the hard-drive of the computer, laptop or tablet that you are using.
No, the software is included and can be installed on as many computers, laptops or tablets as you would like.
Advanced Monitors Corporation recommends a computer that has specifications to optimize video such as a gaming computer as follows:
- 4GB RAM
- Intel i3, i5 or i7 processors
- Separate graphics chip such as Nvidia or Intel graphics chip
- 2k to 4k screen resolution. Standard laptops have approximately 1k screen resolution.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has 2k screen resolution with i5 processor and a separate Intel graphics processor. Also, there are several companies selling computers with 4k screen resolution and Intel i3-i7 processor and a separate graphics chipfor under $1,000.00. We have found these on Amazon.
In tests, laptops and tablets have been able to power the endoscopes for 2-3 hours depending on the type of device.
Any late model Windows computer (or Mac with Parallels) with the above minimum specs should work great. There are two computer/tablet models that AMC really likes to use:
- Microsoft Surface Pro 4 with minimum Intel I3 Processor
- Lenovo Yoga with minimum Intel I3 Processor
Yes, there are two ways to do this:
- You can display the images and video on an Android phone. The phone can be placed into an armband and can be watched on your arm while performing the procedure.
- There is another product called ibackflip that allows you to carry the tablet in a small backpack. The backpack with the tablet can then be moved to your stomach. Once this is done, the backpack can be opened and the tablet screen is held in a viewable angle at your stomach level. You can view this product at: www.ibackflip.com
